I just got word that I am invited to be a part of the Spirits in Sanford Halloween Art Show in October. I very excited about this one and am looking forward to hobnobbing with some of my fellow Witches of Giggleswick group. I have a lot of creating to do and ready to get started.

Welcome to the Weekend
From the mind of the Irish Witch...........

| Pumpkin Henge
Early to rise on a Saturday Morning, 3:30am to be exact. That's okay, I want to get stuff done today. I'll start with the domestic stuff around the house and then start filling those floor cloth orders from ETSY and jumping into Fall creations.
Of course my Saturdays are also my "catch up on with social media" Day.
Lucky for me I log into Facebook when my friend Carly Smith of Boggy Bottom Bayou is on and we get to chat for a bit. She has been a very busy girl with her art submissions and I expect she will have some exciting news around The Witches of Giggleswick really soon. Carly has also encouraged me to do my very first submission to Stampinton's Prim Magazine. I'm so anxious to hear back from them. Carly has also introduced me to the "Spirits in Sandford". I went to the show last year and loved everything about it, so much that I will be applying this year.
Here's to a wonderfully creative weekend!

Submission deadline looming.............
From the mind of the Irish Witch...........
As I plan and paint in my little studio space I wonder why I procrastinate. Then I remember that's how I roll.
Signing out to paint and watch it dry, have a wonderful Monday everyone.

A Cape with a Silver Lining
From the mind of the Irish Witch...........
This is a friend of mine who is fighting a battle against cancer. If anyone can beat this damn disease with a positive attitude alone, she would be already cancer free. She told me one day that she secretly hopes her chemo will give her super powers. That's when I knew she needed a cape. Light purple with a silver lining, and of course a rhinestone "M" for her last name.
Magnificent Melton
I think everyone that is battling a chronic illness has super powers.

Time for some Fall dreaming
From the mind of the Irish Witch...........
This is by far my favorite table runner. I'm ready to start painting with Fall colors. It's already hot like summer here in Florida so it's a good time to pretend that the season will change soon.
I plan on submitting this piece for possible publishing, wish me luck.

Flidais the Goddess of Forest Woodlands and Wild Creatures
From the mind of the Irish Witch...........
Meet Flidais, Goddess of forest, woodlands and wild creatures.
From the mind of “The Irish Witch of Willow Hollow Creations” where ….a little witch craft…..I mean, little witches that I craft can be found.
Flidais is free standing at about 12”. She is a combination of soft and clay sculpture on a metal cage base. Her body and arms are made of osnaburg and stuffed very firm, her face and hands are hand sculpted using paper clay and sculpty clays. No molds were used. Her hair is created from the red fiber found in the saw palmetto pines we have here in Florida. I wanted something earthy and it worked out perfectly.
Flidais’ dress is green velvet with matching hooded cape that is adorned with a feather collar. Her bodice and under dress are a lacy green fabric. She wears her red crystal for courage and for the healing properties. She also carries a well-used book that she studies to strengthen her “Spirit, Mind and Body”; you can even see the edge of the page details that I created with paperclay.

Halloween is almost here!!!
Even in SWFL Fall has arrived. Since we don't see drastic weather changes in Florida for each new season, we have to improvise. We sweat in our Halloween costumes and the A/C is still running when we are handing out treats to the kiddos and maybe a bottle of water.
We have to be more creative in the south to bring that feeling of Fall into our homes. This is why creating fall items for interior decor is my absolute favorite thing to do. I could stay decorated in warm colors all year round.
This table runner can be created in any length you would like. I normally sell the following lengths:
30" X 15" = $35.00
40" X 15" = $45.00
50" X 15" = $55.00
plus shipping
If you are interested or have questions please contact me at Susiewhc@gmail.com
Enjoy Fall how ever you celebrate!

OOAK Sweetly
Spooky Ghost Totem
Stands about 14” tall, base 6”
It looks like Jack is trapped in a
cage and only the ghost has figured a way out.
This is a OOAK item that I have hand
sculpted out of paperclay. I used a cage
make do and covered the base with vintage Halloween cards. The adornments are vintage like Halloween
tinsel and tags.

The
Crow and the Moon Table Topper
27" X 27" table topper
The Crow finds rest on a pumpkin and
gazes at a full harvest moon.
From the mind of “The Irish Witch of Willow Hollow Creations” where ….a
little witch craft…..I mean, little witches that I craft can be found.
This will look great on any style table,
square or round. I love using a table
topper as an alternative to the table runner or place mats. It is such a great way to bring art to your
table.
I use a
heavy weight canvas that I prepare for paint by preshrinking the fabric and
hemming with mitered corners.
I prime both
sides the table square and add two coats of base color to decorated side.
Sanding is done between coats and finally the design is painted. After paint
cures I apply several coats of polyurethane to both sides. This will protect
from moisture. The finishing touch is rubbing on and buffing off some Johnson's
floor wax for extra protection.
