This is by far my favorite table runner.  I'm ready to start painting with Fall colors.  It's already hot like summer here in Florida so it's a good time to pretend that the season will change soon.

I plan on submitting this piece for possible publishing, wish me luck.

Halloween is almost here!!!

Even in SWFL Fall has arrived.  Since we don't see drastic weather changes in Florida for each new season, we have to improvise. We sweat in our Halloween costumes and the A/C is still running when we are handing out treats to the kiddos and maybe a bottle of water.
  We have to be more creative in the south to bring that feeling of Fall into our homes.  This is why creating fall items for interior decor is my absolute favorite thing to do.  I could stay decorated in warm colors all year round.

This table runner can be created in any length you would like.  I normally sell the following lengths:

27" X 27" table topper.  This will look great on any style table, square or round.  I love using a table topper as an alternative to the table runner or place mats.  It is such a great way to bring art to your table.

I use a heavy weight canvas that I prepare for paint by preshrinking the fabric and hemming with mitered corners.

I prime both sides the table square and add two coats of base color to decorated side. Sanding is done between coats and finally the design is painted. After paint cures I apply several coats of polyurethane to both sides. This will protect from moisture. The finishing touch is rubbing on and buffing off some Johnson's floor wax for extra protection.
